Each small rose opens to declare a special message of love. You choose the message, whether it's your own words, or a favorite poem or quote. You can include a small photo or picture, give your real name, or be anonymous like a secret admirer. As roses are added, older roses fall off the page into the archives. They will remain there for years to come as time capsules of human emotion, for others to read and be inspired by the simple messages of love.

The love dedication board is intended for romantic gestures between lovers, whether it be shouting out to the world how much you love someone, how much you miss them, or perhaps even to apologise. You can declare your undying love for an old friend and lover, who's heard those three little words a thousands times but never tires of hearing them. Or maybe you want to remember a virtual stranger you met but once, hoping one day they will browse this site and wonder.

Posting a love dedication is simple. They all begin with a note written into the rose itself:

You can use real names, nicknames or remain anonymous. It's up to you.

When you touch the rose with your cursor, it opens to display a message, which can include a small photo or picture of your choice. Run your cursor over the rose above to see how this works.

A small fee of $9.95 covers the creation of your love dedication. This is payable via PayPal. Your love dedication stays online for a minimum of two years, though it may remain indefinitely.

To post a love dedication please follow these three simple steps:

1. Email the details of your love dedication.

Please email the following details to us at jason@heartofvenus.com:

• Your email and recipient's email.

We'll email the recipient to tell them about their love dedication. Please let us know if you'd sooner we not do this. You may like to tell them yourself instead. We respect your privacy and all emails remain strictly confidential. Please read our Privacy Policy for more.

• Your name as it appears on rose. Feel free to use real names or nicknames for you and your loved one.

• Recipient's name as it appears on rose.

• Message. 200 characters max. Revealed when the cursor touches the rose.

The message may be a memory of a moment together, an expression of how you're feeling right now, a favorite poem or quote, or anything else you would like to say to your loved one. If you can't think what to write, have a look at the bottom of this page for some ideas.

• Title. 30 characters max. Written into each rose, like the rose above.

If you don't specify a title, we will use the first few words of your message on the rose. This way you don't have to use a separate title if you don't want to. Your name and the recipient's name are not counted towards the 30 character limit. Your names are written in bold on the rose.

• Photograph or picture. Optional. The image may be cropped and resized to fit. The image is displayed in with the message. Please specify any special formatting options, otherwise we will position your text and image as we think best.

3. Your love dedication is posted.

We will email you when we receive your details and payment. We'll then begin work setting up your love dedication. Please allow up to 2 working days. We'll let you know as soon as your love dedication is posted. We'll also contact your loved one with a link to the site, unless you specify you'd like to do this yourself instead.

Your love dedication is placed in the top left corner of the page. As other love dedications are posted, yours moves down the page until eventually it is placed in the archives, where it remains for years to come. If for some reason you would like your love dedication removed, please let us know. We do not offer refunds once a love dedication is posted.
